Golden Valley Hotel, Tashkent

My stay at this hotel was quite disappointing. While the rooms were spacious, the service was far from helpful, and the dining options were terrible. The location left much to be desired, as it felt unkempt and isolated. I had high hopes but left feeling let down overall.

I had a one-night stay at this hotel, and for $90, it was quite good. I received a free upgrade to a spacious suite, which was comfortable. However, there were some issues like water dripping from the air conditioning and a malfunctioning bathtub. The indoor pool in the basement was a nice touch, and the free Wi-Fi worked fairly well. The breakfast buffet was included in the price, which was a definite plus. The location near the TV tower is a bit inconvenient, especially for those without a car, as it's quite far from the metro.

I recently spent 14 nights at this hotel, and while the staff was friendly and accommodating, the overall experience was subpar. The rooms were relatively comfortable, but lacked the advertised amenities. The dining options were satisfactory, though not exceptional, and the location was a bit far from the city center, impacting convenience. If you can overlook some inconsistencies and are traveling with kids, the nearby water park is a plus, but otherwise, the experience was quite mixed.
